Pancit Canton – Filipino noodles
I had a craving for pancit the other day … so I decided to pass by the Filipino store to buy pancit canton noodles. Pancit Canton are yellow flour noodles that are used for one of the variations of Filipino noodles. In the store, I grabbed several packages without really thinking what I grabbed.
At home, I realized that I bought the 2-in-1 pack – inside the package, aside from the noodles (duh) is the sauce itself!

No need to work on an elaborate preparation (mabusisi) like the recipe found in the main carinderia site.
All you need are the lahok (goodies) like slices of meat and vegetables, and perhaps a few pieces of shrimps if you have.
Mix the ingredients together … and you have an authentic pancit canton! It is a genius idea to pack the noodles and sauce together. Makes kitchen life more efficient for busy people.

That is a great idea. Sometimes though, those sauce packets are loaded in sodium. Finding a good quality one though, does make things easier and tastier.
