In lieu of tomorrow’s celebration that Ron was planning for my big day, I opted to go out tonight for a simple dinner instead as we had theater tickets for Souvenir being played in a theater in Skokie, a neighboring suburb of Chicago. Near the theater in a strip mall is a pan Asian restaurant called Hana Asian Bistro. Yelp rates it 4 stars. So we went in. It didn’t disappoint.
We had the hot and sour soup (delicious), bulgolgi (great) and shrimp with apple slices (incredible). I love the food here!
Taken by and uploaded through my iPhone. I am getting the hang of this iPhone app but the picture is still blurry. I will get it eventually.
Oh, and I had a pleasant surprise – in the main theater Jackson Browne was playing. He is my favorite rocker of all time and he was in the Chicago area for his Solo Acoustic tour. So after the excellent play was finished, I lingered around to see Jackson Browne … even just on the monitor. And bought a t-shirt. My celebration was just beginning … but it already was completed before it began. Tomorrow, the main day of my celebration is just the icing on the cake that I have already eaten.
