I was just recently diagnosed with hypertension … so I have to drastically alter my diet, basically making them low sodium dishes. Aaargh.
Here’s a start. For this one, tomatoes, French beans, canned corn, cilantro, ginger, onions, celery, yellow bell pepper and a few shrimps were sauteed in olive oil. No salt. It was ok, it was still palatable because there is still some salt in the onions and maybe the canned corn. But less than what I usually have. (Omit shrimps if vegetarian.)
sorry to hear about that, would that mean no more “alimangong tunay?” or just in moderation?
Moderation of course. About two years ago, when the doctor gave me a list of foods that I should avoid (actually for another condition not unrelated to what I just been diagnosed), I just looked at him. So she said, in moderation, Ken, in moderation.

Don’t worry. Your tastebuds will soon adjust to the new taste.
beware of canned foods….they’re usually high in sodium as well as processed foods…and..lessen the drive-thru orders….im hypertensive too.
